We have a new game in class! 

You have to try and get as many fish from the pond with the fishing rod while it spins around. Its a little tricky sometimes! We need to use our Habits of Mind to help us!!

Week 10 Mindful Award Winner

This weeks Mindful Award goes to Chanelle. She gets it for Learning Forever and Persistence by moving up a level in reading, writing and maths! Well done! 

Our Assembly Performance

We had our assembly with The Terrific Tigers! 

We danced to the Hokey Pokey which was so much fun! Here is a picture in our costumes.

Our cultural wall

We have been working on our cultural wall in The Nest. 

Culture is important to learn about as we are all from different cultures. We have been learning about what different cultures wear and we designed our own peoples clothes. 

We also dictated a sentence about our culture and where we come from.

Science in the Van

We had a great time watching the science experiments from Science in the Van!

We learnt about mixing two things together to make a mixture, and how to make extra big bubbles. 

Week 9 Mindful Award

This week it went to Halo.
She got it for WOW! by talking to the class about her culture and sharing what she knows about Samoa.

Writing Experience

Today we made cool jellyfish!!! They hang from the roof of our class! 

First we got a cup. Then we put on the tentacles with tissue paper. Then we drew a face. Miss Cole hung them from the roof.

Today for writing we made Spongebobs!!! 

First we put on the eyes. Next we put in the arms and legs. Last we put on some clothes so it wasn't naked. It was fun!

Today we watched the show Kaha the Kea. The man performing go to draw a picture for us! It was so amazing. 

So for our writing experience we tried to draw pictures with 2 animals. It was so funny and we came up with great ideas! Here are our pictures!
