Reading our high frequency words

Madison has been practicing her high frequency words. We were matching the word card to the ones already written in the book.

Our plants

Here are our measurements for our plants! 

We have a big one and a little one. We measured them from the soil to the highest point of the plant.

Our plant is 58 cm tall from the soil to the top of flower.

Our plant measures 58 cm tall.

Our smallest plant is 7 cm tall from the soil to the tallest leaf.

Botanical Gardens Trip!

WOW! We had such a great day today!

We got to go to the Botanical Gardens for our Teddy Bears Picnic! We were able to take our teddies along with us. 

We went across bridges, we saw lots of different plants and flowers, and we played lots of games! It was a great day! 

Manurewa Library

Yesterday we went to The Manurewa Library. We got to see our school cultural groups perform, and also had a story read to us! It was great fun :)

W7's Mindful Award Winner

P.E FUN!!

The Daring Dragons and The Terrific Tigers have been learning how to jump with 2 feet and how to skip.

Dominoes!

Today in brain time we needed to use the dominoes! We tried to make a big long snake and Miss Cole filmed us pushing them over.

The Dragons during Brain Time!

In Brain Time today some of the dragons were pretending they were delivering milk to the class and paying for it with the money! 

Lanterns

In art time today, we made lanterns!! It was so much fun and they look amazing!!

Mrs Wishy Washy and The Big Wash!

The Daring Dragons and The Terrific Tigers have been reading a book called Mrs Wishy Washy and the big wash! We decided to act out the book for our book response. This is what we did.

Our shiny Paua Shells

We made sparkly Paua Shells with different bits of cellophane to look like a real Paua Shell.

The Habits of Mind we used were: Listening, Creating & Innovating, New Ideas and Working with Others.

Ghetto: I like it cause I got to use the blue.

Jur'ral: It is beautiful. I liked using the red to make it pretty.

Junior: I like using the green. Its pretty

Tamika: I like mine because its beautiful. I used lots of colours

Madison: I put lots of colours on it cause I wanted it colourful. I put blue on it to look like the picture.

Chanelle: It is special cause it looks like the picture.

Pua: My one is special cause it is a sparkly shell
